Finca Chirimoyo belongs to the “Cooperativa de cafes especiales de Nariño”, is located at 1,900 meters above sea level. with an average temperature of 18 °C (64,4 °F), is owned by Henrry Rodriguez, has planted 12,000 coffee trees, is located in the village of Palacinoy, in the municipality of Buesaco in Nariño department. Buesaco is also the name of an ethnic group that belong Buesaco municipality, located 37 kilometers northeast of the capital of the department of Nariño.
At Finca El Chirimoyo, the fertilization is organic, the ripe beans are picked,
then is fermented for 24 hours with the pulp, then is dipulped, after that is
sun dried and stored in jute bags. Thanks to its climate and fertile volcanic
soil conditions, the coffee from this region has been positioned among the
best in the world.
